Panjim Vibes

About Panjim Vibes

‘A sense of space’ is central to my inspiration when creating prints. My research for this set of mono-prints is based on the observations and experience walking around a place called Panjim in Goa. The layers of colour, juxtaposition of shapes and the linear structures are the memories I stored away from this place.

This series of mono-prints were developed over a prolonged period of time and began with discarded prints that I worked on top of. Firstly, I began with a systematic application of rolling on blocks of colour, drying over a few days in-between each layer of colour. I then created a series of dry point plates based on the observed linear structures, which were eventually printed on top of these compositions. The final stage was the addition of collaged elements to add texture and additional detail to the final compositions.
